LUXURY RETIREMENT BUNGALOWS. KNOWLE WOOD, DORRIDGE

Redevelopment of an existing residential plot to create two large detached 3 bedroom bungalows designed with Passiv Haus standards in mind to provide well insulated, energy efficient luxury retirement homes. The homes comprised solar hot water heating, photovoltaic panels to supply electricity and wood burners to provide space heating.
The homes were built to ‘Lifetime Homes Standards’ which is the incorporation of 16 design features that together create a flexible blue print for accessible and adaptable housing in any setting. The Lifetime Homes concept increases choice, independence and longevity of tenure, vital to individual and community well being.
